HSRP - Gawain Cyndwrig

AAAAHHH I can't believe I'm submitting an application for this group (#HogwartsSchoolofRP).    I usually don't join RP groups because I tend to get lazy with them or forget about them.  I'll try to avoid doing either with this group.

Personality:

Outside of class, Gawain is a surly and awkward boy.  He is a burgeoning deadpan snarker, though his wit sometimes misses its mark.  In class, he comes off as something of a teacher's pet.  He is an exceptionally diligent listener and active participant in all his courses, but he tends to be very lax with completing his homework.  He takes notes in his textbooks and points out where they're wrong or only partially correct.  He is a dutiful follower of the rules when he agrees with the rules, and remorelessly flouts any rules he disagrees with/finds stupid.   He does not like to be touched.  Not even for a manly hug, handshake, or brofist.  He doesn't like crowds for this reason.  Despite having been at Hogwarts for 2 years already, he does not have many wizardly friends.  He writes letters to his parents (although the letters are always addressed to his mother) every month and letters to his muggle friends every other week.  He suspects that his attachment to the muggle world is preventing him from making new friends at Hogwarts.

Patronous:  Badger (does not currently have the skill to make a corporeal patronus) 
Sexuality: He 's still about 90% sure that girls have cooties, but that's beginning to change.
Likes:

-broomstickers  (better known as flying)
 -drawing (and thinks he 's good at it, but he has all the skill of...well... a 13-year-old)
 -eating & cooking new foods
 -reading

Dislikes:

-stupid people, people who say stupid things, and stupid rules 
 -tasks that stifle creativity
 -spicy foods
 -things that don't make sense (for example, if he is in a debate with someone, he really hates it if they don't use good logic to support their arguments.  Another example is puberty - that has him pretty freaked out, too)

Best Subjects:

  -Charms & Potions

Worst Subjects:

  -Transfiguration & Herbology

Misc.

  -He wants to be a beater on the Quidditch team, but doesn't have any natural talent for the sport.
  -The Sorting Hat wasn't sure whether to put him in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor.
  -His third year course load is thus: Astronomy, Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, History of Magic, Herbology, DAtDA, Ancient Runes [elective], Arithmancy [elective]
